5. Report of the Budget Committee Meeting Held on 14 October 1993

Resolved 300 -

to note the report of the meeting of the Budget Committee that it had recommended to the Vice-Chancellor that -

(1) faculties, or departments through faculties, could offer ad hoc scholarships. Under these scholarships the faculty or the department could offer to pay for either the teaching component of the fee or the total fee.

(2) application, including departmental nomination and academic justification, be submitted to the Scholarships Committee.
