Academic Council

The Academic Council is the principal executive arm of the Academic Board through which most of the Board's business is conducted. For the Council's constitution see 'Standing Committees of the Academic Board' in The University of Western Australia Calendar.

The Chair of the Academic Board, Professor Karen Simmer, is, ex-officio, Chair of the Academic Council. She may be contacted by telephone (61-8-9340 1262), by facsimile:(61-8-9340 1266), or by e-mail: karen.simmer@uwa.edu.au

The Deputy Chair of the Academic Board, Professor Simon Anderson, is ex-officio, Deputy Chair of the Academic Council. He may be contacted by telephone (61-8-6488 2589), by facsimile: (61-8-6488 1525), or by e-mail simon.anderson@uwa.edu.au

The Associate Chair of the Academic Board, Professor Brett Kirk, may be contacted by telephone (61-8-6488 1848), by facsimile: (61-8-6488 1024), or by e-mail: kirk@cyllene.uwa.edu.au

The Academic Secretary is the Executive Officer for the Council and administrative and secretarial support is provided by the staff of Academic Secretariat who produce and distribute agendas and minutes, and action resolutions as required.
