Interim Boards of Studies

The Interim Boards of Studies have been established to 

  •  facilitate course development and decision-making at the inter-faculty level
  • provide an avenue for faculty input and scrutiny in relation to the development of undergraduate degree courses
  • bring the required level of disciplinary expertise to assess and evaluate faculty claims regarding policy proposals, proposed majors and other curriculum matters within the new framework.

·        An Interim Board of Studies has been constituted for each of the following five undergraduate degrees (those that correspond to the four “areas of knowledge” plus the B.Phil)    

Bachelor of Arts     

Bachelor of Design

Bachelor of Philosophy (Hons)

Bachelor of Commerce

Bachelor of Science

The Interim Boards of Studies will develop and recommend new undergraduate majors and units for the new degree courses to the Board of Coursework Studies for approval.  The course development process will be undertaken in different phases.  The main focus of Phase ONE is on identifying majors so that the Boards can contextualise and map each of the new undergraduate degree courses

CALL FOR FACULTY EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (EOI)

Expressions of Interest for offering Majors in any of the new three year undergraguate degree courses (BA, BCom, BDes, BSc) are now open

In order to assist your preparation and submission of the EOI:

Completed Faculty EOI should be emailed as an attachment by the Faculty Dean's Office to:

eo-ibos@uwa.edu.au

NO  LATER  THAN  4PM  ON  MONDAY  30th  NOVEMBER  2009
